Semper Fi Shilohs

We first discovered this wonderful breed accidentally on the internet. Shortly after that we had a chance encounter in Downtown Asheville with a visiting Shiloh from Florida. What a majestic creature he was, quietly sitting in front of a restaurant taking in the sights and “shaking-hands” (actually, enormous paws) with numerous passersby while his family enjoyed their meal (a leash length away.) From that point we were hooked and started our search for available breeders. That led us to the state of Virginia and ultimately to Gloria Setterlund and “Noble Acres” where we purchased our first Shiloh (Teufelhund) in time for Christmas 2004.

From the moment we picked him up, this guy gave us so much enjoyment and pride in owning a Shiloh that we could not stop with him. When the opportunity arose, we acquired our female Peppermint Patti. Teufel, Pepper, Myah our Westie, and Whiskers our calico cat make up our “furkid” family.

We felt so unique in owning this breed we wanted to share this experience with others and so, Semper Fi Shilohs was begun. As the motto Semper Fidelas so befits the Marine Corps, “always faithful” befits this breed of gentle giants without question.
