The Shiloh Shepherd is a true contemporary breed that was developed to fill the need for a shepherd from the past; protector, best friend, a part of the family. The Shiloh Shepherd is a dog of giant size, incredible intelligence, and a wholesome beauty.

Our original Shiloh Shepherds are bred to be calm and kind. They excel in all types of therapy work, obedience, and guardian assignments. They tend well to children, the elderly, and livestock. Taking their intelligence from the German Shepherd and their stamina from the Alaskan Malamute, the Shiloh Shepherd is a perfect dog for today’s home! The Shiloh Shepherd is a very large breed that is carefully bred for superior size and intelligence. They were never intended to be a replacement for the German Shepherd breed, as their type, purpose, and breed standard are distinctly different. Suffice GSD roots being most predominant in our pedigrees, the Shiloh Shepherd has grown into a breed entirely unique and unto itself.
